VERAK® EMC/IP

VERAK® addresses the most stringent enclosure requirements of the communications, industrial networking and electronics sectors, providing both IP65 environmental protection and EMC screening. It is available in two versions: VERAK® IP provides protection from the ingress of dust and water, whilst VERAK® EMC provides protection from radio frequency interference to ensure that electronic systems meet electromagnetic compatibility requirements. VERAK® EMC gives more than 80dB attenuation at 100MHz and 40dB at 1GHz, the highest levels available in a standard product from any manufacturer. The EMC gaskets provide electrical continuity between panels, are punched in the EMC screen making it impossible to remove without a tool. VERAK® is a very strong floor-standing enclosure. The 2mm steel framework gives the VERAK® enclosure exceptional strength and rigidity, rated at 750kg static load capacity. VERAK® is available with steel or glass front and rear doors that users can readily change the hinging of a door from left to right without having to interfere with the IP or EMC sealing. The EMC panels and doors are double skinned, consisting of an inner conductive panel and an outer painted protective one. Cables can be brought into the rack from the top, through the bottom and through 5U or 10U high recessed cable entry panels, fitted above or below shortened front or rear doors. The screened gland plates provide a cable entry capability without compromising the EMC performance. VERAK® cabinets can be fitted with solid or ventilated top covers and bases without reducing the enclosure’s EMC performance. VERAK®’s soft-line, slightly curved styling is equally at home in the office, the communications room or on the factory floor. Its two tone grey colour scheme is neutral, blending with most modern decors, making VERAK® the ideal choice for both heavy industrial and telecoms applications.
